A respiração do planeta

This fascinating time-lapse animation from NASA shows how levels of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere are inextricably linked to seasonal cycles of vegetation growth and decay.

Carbon dioxide is shown as yellow-orange. Vegetation, green. The visualization is based on readings taken by instruments on the Aqua satellite from 2003-2010.
